Palak Patel
I am very passionate about working with the underserved and advocating for health care for all. The idea for this initiative came to me while I was browsing #medtwitter after our hospital rotations were canceled. I saw how med students around the country are helping their own communities and wanted to do the same in Chicago. I'm so proud of my fellow CCOM students in making this initiative so successful!

I am excited to be a part of the COVID-19 Taskforce and launch an online platform to streamline communication to reach the wider community. I am honored to offer my assistance during this pandemic and would like to express my gratitude to all the volunteers and individuals working hard with us to serve the needs of our community.

After volunteering with Projects Abroad in Peru and ASCOVIME in Cameroon, I’ve learned to appreciate the physicians world wide constantly on the front lines and am honored to be a part of this awesome group hopefully alleviating some of the burden on great physicians and mentors in the Chicagoland area.
